Lift issue Dear block c owners,
Do your notice that one of our lift break down recently?And taking so long to repair....
And i heard from one of the neighbour,he said the technician take out certain spare part from our lift and go to repair the Block D or E lift :twisted: can somebody tell me why management will allowed this type of issue happen?They surpose order the new spare part but not take from other block sapre part to solve the problem!
Can ur imagine if new owner move in,they fully utilise the lift,how long we need to wait?If you are so lucky meet the cleaner come to collect the dusbin...haha :P God Bless U!

ah???? took the parts from block C to repair other lift??? Has anyone complain to management office? if no, pls let me know, i will do so. thanks for the info.

Spoke to Dhyan rgd the lift & he said that there is something wrong with the board & needs to be reprogramm. Was told the repair man will come tomorrow.
Hope that the repairman come & able to fix the prob !

yeah.. i also cant see any reason why this brand new lift could breaks down so often.
must push the management to look into this matter seriously.

hi guys, i stay in 5th floor moved in on 04_06_05, on that day ( mb earlier ), i found the the lift is not accessible from 5th floor ( can access to but not access from ) , we did complain to Dyane and Ida for so many times, but sadly to say, unitl today nothing has been done.
Was that a matter of the building supervisor or the lift contractor? could anybody comment about the performance of our building supervisor Dyane? kena tukar orang ar? :evil:

lift Dear CTE,
This matter was in our letter to the mgmt (letter dated 6th June 2005) as below:
"1.3 We have also received numerous complaints that lights in the lifts have not been functioning nor are there any or any proper ventilation in these lifts. The buttons do not light up when pressed. Furthermore, the call button for the lift at level 5 of block C is not functioning. '"
Later we also found out that many other level having the same problem.
As u c till now nothing being done, that is why we seek all not to pay anymore maintanance fee from July 2005 until further notice = all the defect items needs do be rectified ASAP.
Below is the mgmt answer on the lift issue (replied letter dated 20th June 2005) :
"All Lifts installed at the buildings are in accordance to the M & E Consultant's specification, and approval from Department of Occupational Safety and Health. The breakdown as a direct result of recent lightning strikes were unavoidable and beyond our control, and deemed as acts of God. Understanding the situation, we have since instructed our lift contractor, Messrs Sigma Elevator (M) Sdn Bhd, to install a surge protector system which we hope will adress this concern in the future.
Upon investigation, we have confirmed that the frequent breakdowns of the lifts, faulty lights and ventilators, are a results of malicious vandalism and/or misuse of the lift control panel by some irresponsible parties. To curb this, we have instructed the lift contractors to source and install protective control panel guards for all the control panels. Hopefully, through proper education and with this protective cover, this issue will laid to rest."
If u read the replied carefully....all the blames were pass to us as if we r so kampung do not know how to use lift :evil:
Furthrmore, surge protecter for the lift is a requirement for a 16 storey building & yet they hv never install it :!:
So everyone, DO NOT PAY JULY MAINTANENCE FEE YET
as most of the issues/defects we have have not been rectified till now furthermore blame us the residence :"malicious vandalism by by some irresponsible parties"

1) Buildings of 16 floors are without Air-Rod for lightning protection?
2) Hi-rise lift design without surge arrestor for the control panel?
the system is design by so call consultant?
are they installating the lift for the first time?
only jalil damai appartments facing lightning problems only, other places in malaysia are safe from lightning problem, or they over looked or forget to include the lightning arrestor in their design?
3)lightning is ACT of God and beyond our control i agreed, but UNAVOIDABLE? betul kar? tell the management that among the residents, many of them are ENGINEERS, don't bluff the profesional while they are not!
4) lift indicator not lit was due to malicious vandalism and/or misuse?? tipu budak mer.....is the indicator physically visible? is the lift button spoil? if not how residents could damage the indicator light that resided inside the button?

going by what they say, that means these vandals do "mission impossible". they open the control panels, short circuit the light diodes or remove them altogether, then replace the cover. they then climb a ladder or step stool, short circuit the lights at the ceiling, remove the ventilation casing, disable the ventilation fan, replace the casing and then they go outside the lift and repeat the whole process with the call buttons. :)
yup, i don't think any of their consultants will dare stand on top of the building with an open umbrella during a storm :)
