this is horrible..its like living in a place without any security and wait for my unit to be broken in again... shall we do a protest during the celebration? some banners maybe? :P i dont want makan makan..i want better security system!

the celebration is organised by the RA and our "protest" is not against them but the management, developer and security mgmt. I think the RA wants us to communicate through proper channels to them rather than thru the forum as we appear as "phantom" to them without proper identification. I'm not sure if their office is already operational. Anyway, I had started to draft this and hope will have time to drop it to the RA office: Firstly, I would like to thank the RA for the recent dialogue held with the residents to update us on all the actions taken so far and also for all the effort and time to follow up on all the actions todate. I would like to put forward a few suggestions 1. I heard through the forum today there were further break-ins in Block D. Having experienced a break-in last year, I felt more can be done to monitor this situation and to minimize the break-ins. • Last year when my apartment was broken into – it was between 12pm-4pm. When I checked with the management office, they mentioned they had security do their checking at fixed time every day in each block – this means anyone observing the pattern will know the best time to break-in. If no action has been done so far, can I suggest the RA insist that the security do randomized rounds instead of fix time rounds. • When I asked the management on the statistics of break-ins, they just say they don’t know. Even our police report also seemed not properly kept and there’s poor communication between the security and management office. If it is left to these 2 parties to keep records (and the security and mgmt office are frequently changed) we in JDA will not know the real situation. Is it possible the JDA RA set up a process and communicate to residents, should they encounter any break-ins, apart from the police, management and security can they also inform the RA so that stats can be consolidated and we can know the real situation of break-ins in each block. These stats can be used for strengthening our case for any actions we want the developer to take. • Can something be done about the low fencing – like a gotong royong to put up some barb wire or glass pieces at the top of the fence to discourage people from climbing in /out. 2. Whilst I understand the reservations of using the JDA internet forum for communication due to identification, I feel at least it should be used by the RA to post updates from the RA (apart from any posted at RA office). We are living in a more high tech age with busy people who may not have time to walk by the RA office frequently just to check if there could be updates. True not everyone is on the forum either but I believe it would be a fast way to communicate to at least a portion of residents. The other good way is pasting at the lift (not on GF notice boards or postbox – at least not for myself with my car parked at LG, I hardly read notices and do not check my postbox that often). I feel one way the RA can be even more effective is to have constant communication and updates and to engage the residents. I’m not sure what was the reason for the rather poor attendance in the last dialog for others, for myself although I did try my best to attend most of it, it was quite short notice and I had to rush off for another appointment. So, I guess ample notice will be good and find the best way to communicate. 3. The coming CNY celebration will be a good opportunity to re-iterate some of the actions the RA had done and updates which were missed out by a majority of the residents. The previous Deeparaya had encouraging turnout in spite of the heavy rain – so use this CNY get together as a good opportunity for communication apart from all the celebration. I think with the security issue up again – perhaps apart from the celebration there could be some time allocated to dialog and brainstorm what further actions can be taken, especially if we are inviting reps from the developer/mgmt / security mgmt. Tell the residents how the RA would want to hear from us and how we can hear from the RA.

betul kata rosc2y....... saya hanya dapat tahu pasal dialog pada waktu malam hari jumaat masa ambik lif. apa salahnya ra mengggunakan forum untuk penyebaran khabar berita? macam saya....... keluar awal pagi, balik lewat malam, gua mana ada night vision tengok kain rentang mengumumkan perayaan tahun baru cina tu? lagipun..... kalo gua nak baca, nanti terlanggar pulak jaga yang asyik bermimpi tengah jalan.
