Renovation!
Hi Guys, Have you appointed any outside contractor to renovate your units? If yes, havent paid any deposit? Or are you gonna use Segi Terang to release hassle?

Hi kee, If that's the case, your work still in progress? I've a plan to minimise the deposit and disposal charges. Let's say if anyone need a contractor from outside, you guys may share Kee's contractor. Because Kee's paid deposit and disposal charges to developer and the contractor has the pass. Hence, the contractor has no problem entering the premises and start work. My point is, once they are able to pass thru the guard, they dont care which unit you are working with and no more queries. So, if one contractor shared among few units, then we can share among the deposit and disposal charges paid by Kee. eg. deposit; $600 shared by 3 units = just pay Kee @ $200 per unit and disposal chrgs $150 = $50 each unit. In other words, we are appointing our own contractor as what developer appointed Segi Terang too. p/s; this is not a trick, its just paying back to mgmt as/like how they treat us!! :wink:

if not mistaken, they charge deposit based on unit but not contractor. Not sure what are they going to do if they find out any owner don't pay deposit. But so far they never go to my unit and ask for deposit receipt for validation.

hi all, Once I saw a note posted on the wall at the mgmt office: "x-x-x unit, illegal renovation, water supply cut off" Thought this info might be useful before you execute your plan... :)

Also, their 'people' is around everyday. And they are very "caring". There was once I open my yard door and when they pass by, they peep in and try to see who's in the house.

Hi, HBA needs u to register with them on the above matter in order that an interview can be done with a reporter to highlight the high renovation deposits by the developer. TQ.

there won't be any problem if you follow the proper procedure ...application, pay deposit, follow rules... i used outside contractor and i got back 100% of my refundable deposit.

i used outside contractor n it took me almost more than 2 weeks to get mt deposit back n furthermore the accounts lady in jd office was very sarcastic when she returned me my dep. Its not always smooth sailing. If u fight for ur fighr, they make ur life miserable. :wink:

but unless we fight for what's right, we'll have to live with the wrongs, no? so, mrs dass, keep on striving for what you know is right. :)

Dear all, I just got my key last friday. I'm in Block F. I just would like to check with whoever engaged with Segi Terang. How's the work? I heard that the price is really expensive... Can anyone recommend any good contractor for me to do some wiring (air-cond & heater) and kitchen renovation? TQ TFK
