Robbery at Block E
I got to know that there was a robbery that happened yesterday (Wednesday, 1 Aug) night at our block. Heard that the robber(s) slashed a lady and she got injured as there were a lot of blood in the lift and lobby. I think it has become worse. Now the robbers are even more daring by following and coming into the lobby area.. Where was the security when the incident happened? Does anyone else know about this?

Hmmm, so scary!!! Have this been notified to the police and mgmt? This is what we get after paying up the maintenance fees in order to get the car sticker  I still think the mgmt should get someone like Irwan (previous mgmt in-charge) to really look into things. Else we are all back into what we experienced 2 years back....robbery, break-ins, theft RA, any comment that can be highlighted to the mgmt????

The guard was not around when the robbery happened (dunno what are we paying them for??) and even called the guard house after the incidence, they were slow in reacting...saw them like more scared than us. Heard that the robber ran away through the small door (or jumped over fence wall??). I think it's really not safe to let the small door opened like that. Can RA do something??

'more scare than us'.....because most of them foreigners, cannot speak n understand our languages.... some not in uniform.... !! just good at putting on 'charade, line-up, show case etc....' at main entrance. management demanding increase in maintenance fee but services is deteriorating....... very distressing!

Hi yenh, FYI, the robbery is climb thru the fence and NOT escape thru the small entrance. And, there is someone pick him up outside. I understand some of you do concern when this small entrance is open. BUT, please consider for those drivers who park their car outside, how are they going to get into their apartment if you close the door during the peak hour time ? Do you expect them to go all the way to the main guard house in order to enter to the apartment ? or climb over the fence everyday ? Main problem for this robbery case, is the guard NOT AVAILABLE TO HELP when we need them !

isois- 08-02-2007

you are right, Miki. i would rather climb over the fence to come in rather than walk such a long distance to get in from the front gate. Who knows what will happen on the way walking towards the front gate. Even inside the lobby also not safe, anyone think that the walk way outside the apartment is safe?

True. Some of them don't even understand our language. So...if we shout..."help"...or "tolong"....they also dunno wat happen....

hi isois, yes, same to me. even I'm a girl... i would rather climb in thru fence, it would b much safer compare to walk all the way to guardhouse, who's know there will be another robbery waiting for their "target" who walk alone home ? If you notice, there is always no guard around during 8pm to 10pm in BLOCK E. I think the robbery noticed it also....that's why our block is their target. ... another question, why there is a guard in Block D, but not Block E last night ?

yenh- 08-02-2007

Dear Miki, It's not that I do not give concern on those parking outside as I also park there occassionally but it's too easy for any1 to come in through the small entrance (safety or convinience first??)...anyway, no difference now as any1 can also climb over the fence... and obviously our security system/the management office is not working at all.

What exactly happened?
Does anybody know what exactly happened? I hope the lady is ok... I was coming back from Dinner at our cafe by the pool around 9pm, by which time the incident had happened (so I guess it happened around 8.30pm) and a lot of people were gathered. There was blood all over the lobby and in both lifts (how come there was blood in both lifts??). This is getting way out of hand, if the robbers are coming in, injuring people and getting away without any problems... specially at a time where there is still a lot of people around. Perhaps, they could have few more of those bulldogs (yes, the one seen pulling da security guy around the apartment) if the security is too scared (assuming the security can control the dog and it doesn't go around biting residents) As for the small gate, makes absolutely no difference as anybody can easily climb over it. Might as well leave it open for the convenience of residents and maybe have a few more security guys monitoring who is coming in and out.

i wonder if the lady will consider suing the management/developer for negligence? i understand our RA have suggested to the mangement/developer many many times to boost up security after multiple break-ins last year e.g implement access card system/ putting up "barb wire" or something as the gates r too low etc etc....but i think the management/developer prefer to play ping pong with RA than actually doing the real work (or they think the bulldog will do the trick?!?!) maybe the lady can use this point to sue the management/developer and get some compensation for her loss :p

Renee- 08-02-2007

I think the lady should really use this incident to sue the management / developer/security company for lack of security & negligence. If not, they won't see the urgency / importance of providing better security. Whether the small door is lock or not I don't think that'll make a very big difference as what java has said. Even if it's locked, they can still climb over the fence. If the guards are more scared than us, what's the point of having them around then? It's as good as not having them around. Coz they won't dare to do anything if anything happened or we call for help. The purpose of the security guard is to provide security and help when needed. Worse still is the company employs foreigners as security guards who doesn't even understand our language. How to communicate and call for help? It'll be like a chicken and duck talk. First was the break-ins.. Now it's robbery with injury.. Really makes the whole place unsafe anymore.. Any idea as to what happened to the meeting that was held sometime ago between the RAs with the residents to discuss about the issues that were to be taken with the management / developer? Any feedback? Oh yes, I heard one of the residents mentioned that one of the guards commented that the lady (victim) deserved it coz she always walk so slow and like taking her own sweet time like that. When I heard that, I was totally appalled! How can someone comment like that? :x Does that mean that we can walk at all within our own compound coz anything can happen? If that's the case, might as well don't go to the swimming pool & etc... I really think the guard said that so that they won't be held responsible for what happened.
