Sigma Elevator (M) Sdn Bhd files winding-up petition on Ho Hup Construction Company Bhd Hearing at High Court of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur scheduled on 13 August 2009 Jun 15, 2009 Sigma Elevator (M) Sdn Bhd, a supplier of elevators and escalators, have filed a winding-up petition against Ho Hup Construction Company Berhad, a group that does civil engineering works, foundation engineering, building works, quarry works, property development, and oil and gas works. The winding-up petition was filed due to an alleged non-payment in connection with the supply of elevators and services rendered by Sigma Elevator to Ho Hup Construction Company Bhd. The claimed sum by Sigma Elevator is RM239,020 plus an interest of eight per cent per annum from 22 October 2005 until full realisation and also the cost of RM2,342. Ho Hup Construction Bhd has announced that they are taking steps to resolve the matter before the hearing of the winding-up petition on 13 August 2009. Ho Hup Construction Bhd has previously completed several housing developments in Bukit Jalil. The company were also partly involved in the development of high-rise intelligent buildings like the IBM Plaza in Taman Tun Dr Ismail and the Petronas Twin Towers in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre.
