Telephone Line?

Hi Kenn. I just shifted in and eagerly awaiting the phone line & streamyx to be installed. May be we can get more ppl to be active here in order to meet the minimum quota TM fixed.

Hi what's the minimum quota forTelekom? Where do we register? Can we just go to clickers or do we have to go to Kedai Telekom? which kedai telekom should go for Bukit Jalil area? Is it Maluri?

I have really no ideal wat the richman management is doing, some more asking us to pay for the maintenance fees, a lot of things not done. i have move in since last year december. The phone line has not been activate. Do you think they are doing their job????? the lobby( entrance to the lift) the have not do the touch up and the lift is so dirty....... Why why tell me why............ so dirty.. it give all my friend a feeling that i am staying in an low cost apartment.

Dear sweetie, Thats excatly the reason why the Persatuan Penduduk Jalil Damai seek cooperation from all not to pay maintanance fee fr July 2005. The amount paid are not to the standard of the service provided by them ! sri Rakyat Flat that pay more than half of our fee hv better service than us. Thanks.

Hi all, I had been following up with the Telephone line since January 2005. Latest update is that the phone line will be available on the 15/July/2005. Everyone's coorperation is needed to call them all the time to make them fill the necessary. I call these Telekom people at least 4 times a month! I will keep calling until I get the phone and streamyx done. Was inform that Norasha = 013-3658385 is handling the project. Maybe you all can call her often to update her on the project ;)

Hi bill, try to look into telekom room next to Power room at ground floor, there's no related equipment install. how telekom going to connect to.

Rite....I've also contacted the Implementation Group. He even unable to gives update on the progress except will come back to me. Bear in mind the process they (TM) need to undergo before commisioning the system. Installation (by the appointed Contractor) ----> Testing ------> Commision (update onto TM database). So, dun think possible by this week. I'll constantly chase these people. Cheers!

I call them up, Damn! they say might be about 15 September ... everytime also postpone ... you are rite cmlim ... they say the appartment have not provide them with the facilities ...

i am a telecom engineer fellas. Fixed lines wont come in at our area BJD and areas around us so soon. Streamyx requires this first. If u notice there r no 'rockets' or junction-boxes in technical terms at our area. Installing this will take time. Normally for new areas, Telekom will build a new building to house their switch. so dont expect too much for now friends.

Hi aaronfs, Actually fixed line is available now. Mine installed on 8 Sept. Now waiting for Streamyx only.

huloo aaronfs.... :?: Since you claim to be a telecom engineer.....roket2 (cabinet in telecom term) tak main...lah. Instead TM feed FTTO (Fiber To The Office - Marconi V5 to be precise) to JDA. Cheers!!!!! :D

hi pk... you cannot pull the fiber straight to the house. it still requires some termination somewhere. it could be in the tunnel underground which we cant see. the term "rocket" may not mean rocket/junction box. there are new systems available now which are smaller. each floor will have DDF boxes which i saw on my floor. it is existing but it doesnt mean we have fixed line connection yet. hi pws, good news that fixed line is available. i will install mine when im back in the country. anyway... good news for everyone that fixed line is available. streamyx is the problem now... anyone has it working yet coz streamyx is a bit different. TM has to install new switch with DSL/ADSL capable systems.

Hi aaronfs, thot FTTO, FTTS, FTTC, etc sound fimilar....of course it comes with RT & COT. Anyway as mentioned, phone service is available now in JDA. Cheers!!!
