Water Bill Backdated! Hi,
I checked my letterbox everyday & received the water bill dated 1st May 05
on 10th May 05! I do not like this as the management can accuse me of
late payment & charged 10% interest. Do u all have this problem? TQ..

Not as simple as just divide the $ vs amount use. According to Syabas during their campaign week, Syabas only issues bill to low rise buiding (5 storey) resident. They identify by colour of the meter. In the case of high rise bldg, Syabas issued bill (lump sum) to developer and developer will then charge resident according based on their usage. However the charges (per cu meter) charged by developer to us is definately much much higher that what Syabas charged them. If I could recall, Syabas charge RM0.80 per cu meter for residential unit.

Water Bill.... Hi,
The minimum charge is RM3/month at Subang Perdana Apartments which
have swimming pool, club house, gym, tennis & badminton Courts, etc...
Here we are charged double that ie. RM6.
Starville Apts (By Sime UEP) only charged 70cents/m3 for water usage..

mine Oct 2004 - March 2005 is also RM30.00
most of us also RM30 but with different dates.

clarify I've checked with Dhyan this morning in regards of the water billing.
He said all charges inclusive the $6 minimum charge is from PUAS billed to developer.
And he'll find out on the rates matter. Was is $1.20 or $0.70?!
Btw, george98, did your water bills stated "10% interest late payment to be charge".
I didnt receive that statement in my bill....
What pk mentioned is correct.
PUAS different property different rate charged.
They segregate to landed property, flat, Apt and Condo. for resident premises.

I suggest u check your S&P agreement, I have checked mine. I used their
panel of lawyers when I signed S&P. So, it is stated late payments will be
charged 10% per annum. I regret using their lawyers now!

Well, I cant recall the 10% late charges is specific for what statement.

i haven't checked the deed of mutual covenants yet but under the sale and purchase agreement, the 10% late charge is meant for the late payment of the progress claim only (i.e. the purchase price).

Please DO NOT PAY your water bill.
Management is investigating the rate with SYABAS.
We are suppose to pay $0.70/cu and NOT $1.20/cu (as present charge).
Dhyan will keep us inform.

Call up Dhyan and check the water rate status.
My last conversation with him is he is investigating with SYABAS on it.
I heard the commitee of DBKL mentioned that the water rate of $1.20/cu is normal as our apt categorise under "high rise"
Anyone knows what the meaning of "high rise"???!!!!
Wonder how they define??!!!........
FYI, I stayed in Apt also before this but my water rate charged $0.70/cu only.

Building more than five storey high is classified as high rise building. The colour of the water meter will also determine whether Syabas issues the bill to the consumer or bldg mgmt/developer.
As mentioned earlier, according to Syabas, usually 1.20/cu meter for high rise bldg eventhough Syabas only charged .70/.80 to developer. I did questioned Syabas the rational behind this but the officer unable to comment.

fyi... my neighbour's water bill was RM100+ for the past 6 mths... she is staying alone... really wonder how it charge... terrible
