Anybody knows the victim??

If yes, please advise her to do publicity for this unfortunate event again just like our burglary issue last time.

She can contact the 2 reporters as below:

1) Malay Mail - Sangeetha - 0124045219 - she was the reporter from Malay Mail who did the coverage for the burglary news last year

2) China Press - Hooi - 0129713250 - she was the reporter from China press who did the coverage for the burglary news last year

Last time I have spoken to Mr Choong from Malaysian Crime Prevention which they promised to work something for our residents but till today nothing has happened, therefore I think it would be good too if she could highlight this matter again to him.

Tel: 77284282(Home), 22601954(Office), 0162739267(HP)

Once the publicity is out, just pm me and I have no problem helping you to distribute the article to all the residents of Jalil Damai.......

It seems like after this incident they decided to revise the opening time for the side doors. The notice stated that it suppose to be open until 10pm at least. I don’t think this action addresses anything besides showing that they are really incompetent.

Firstly, the guards (if any) will sit far away from the side door because they are scared to be questioned by residents. Then when someone climbs over the fence in front of him, he’ll just ignore them. So, what’s the point of locking the side doors? And, what’s his roles n responsibility in the first place? Even during the door opening period the guard should be physically there to check on things.

The basic requirements: (after rounds and rounds of ping pong.)

1) Every block should have at least 1 guard stationed at the lobby /guard house at all times (24/7)
2) Guard needs to man the side doors even during opening hours. Show resident pass if necessary.
3) Patrolling the grounds and each block/floors.

I am so sad to hear this happened in our apartment area. Where i totally agree that, no security guard sitting around when the time when i reach block D around 8pm on 2nd Aug and 3rd Aug 10pm. Where are those security guard going?

I'd noticed that, sometime most of the security guard like to stand at the main entrance which they were standing 2 rows beside the entrance and waiving hand and welcoming everyone who drive in. Then, nobody was guarding in blocks which located at the side and back.

Besides, i heard that the robber was ran away and hop onto a white kancil with 2 more members who already standby. If this is true, please be aware of white kancil where park along the roadside near the small door entrance at back.

This incident really make me feel unsafe even staying in house. sigh.......

Anyway we still need to push some recommendation/solution to this issue. I believe a lot of residents and mgmt will now open their eyes on how bad things have gone.

I hope the victim have make a police report so that the authority aware of such incidents happening because we can't solely depends on the mgmt. Everyone should have known the mgmt by now and the way they carry out their job.

On the other hand should we gather the RA and residents to discuss about this matter since it affect everyone living in JDA? I guess everyone should really stick together as a team and get things done as a team. No point of RA alone fighting for it but without support from residents. Nothing will be successful. Clapping with 1 hand???

My view is that mgmt is there only to collect all the money from the residents so that BJD can finish their "abandon" project. I will also stop paying maintenance fees until things improved. No point of feeding them and getting ourselves hurt.

Just my 2cents worth of comment

Dear Apple,

I absolutely understand your feeling, coz I did face the same problem - wanted to go in from the small entrance BUT it closed, AND i was also wearing skirts that time Sad
I agree, if a girl waiting outside with the door closed, and waiting for the guard to open the door, or walk all the way to Block F or Block A guard house, it would be much much dangerous. Sad

So nobody here knows the victim? Hmm looks like a bit difficult to get this incident to the attention of the authority... Hope this won't be just another incident that just goes by without anything been done.. Is there anything we can do to increase / improve the security at our place?

Talking about security, saw this today in The Star: http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2007/8/7/nation/18515765&sec=nation&focus=1

Seems there was another robbery that happened on Mooncake festival night, between 6pm - 11pm (i think).. This time the robbers went straight into the apartment when the owners/tenants were home.
