Hi All,

I suggest we should have start taking up action by sending the complaints to the
Ministry of Domestic Trade & Consumer Affairs
Tingkat 16 Putra Place
100 Jalan Putra
50622 Kuala Lumpur
Tel: 03 40492300

Is anyone know of the procedure?!...
Shall we compile few owner in one or send individually?!...

I can understand if they have nto charge a high deposit for major reno i.e hacking walls, cement works, but for dry work like installing cabinets, installing lights, cabling works, i think 1800 is too much.

When i got a contracter to do the cabinets in my current place, he brought the cabinets in pre fab modules (like ikea) and assemble there and then. He later collected all the rubbish and took it with him. So why should I be charged 150 for clearing rubbish. If they must charge it should be as a deposit and refunded if we clean up our mess.

The 300 moving in deposit in ridiculous. I for one am not going to pay it. I would like to see what they do........ If they stop me at the gates, I may decide to make a police report as they cannot stop me from going to my own home....? we will see and will update you..

Exactly. As far as I know, the renovation deposits fixed by most developers in the market for medium cost apartment is in the region of RM500-1,000. With the stringent rules imposed and doubt on refundable of the deposits, some renovation contractors in the market is already well-informed on the 'good name' of this project and we can hardly find one interested, especially only some minor renovation works involved.

Philip, i am 100% agree to your phrase
"they cannot stop me from going to my own home"

i am adding this
"and bring anything to my own unit."

Hi guys,

All of you have your point but the security guard is their people. When we move in most of us will hired a lorry to load all stuffs. What happen if the guard only allow private car with sticker to enter into the premises? How do our porter work? Rolling Eyes

Yeah!.
That's the point I'm highlighting it.

How to get our transporter to enter the premises? Moreover, it may not only involve 1 lorry, cos we may buying at different places/shop. So, how much $300 we need to pay?

Is anyone, know how does $300 deposit procedure works? Do we need to pay the pass fees also?

according to the notice, owners have to pay RM300 for shift in deposit.

so i don't care how many lorry/transporter i have, i only pay RM300 for SHIFT IN when necessary.

It's too early to argue with developer about shift in deposit.

If so, they might taking this as advantages to change the notice again. Just like what they did for deposit.

My advise is....
1. chase for our cheque first(LAD & common facilities) than next argue with them on the calculation.
2. once renovation done and finalised than start with move in deposit issue.

My purpose is I dont want to give any chance to them of holding back/drag our cheque. Cos they also human, what we taught of they also do.

But we must not just give in also. I understand if you have no choice i.e if you want to move in.

the developer and the management company must be reasonable. we have paid substantial amount to buy property and have to give another 2 to 3% as deposits and charges is simply not fair on top of what we have to pay our contractor.

I believe if you want to move in your sofa they have no right to stop you how else are you going to shift in to your house without your furniture,

I believe if we fight individually is going to be more difficult. A few of us are planning a meeting on dEC 18. Check the General forum for more information.

This is not the reputable, responsive company I know of in the past. Hope

they buck up & change their attitude towards customers needs, if not I feel

sorry what they will turn up to be in future.
