A good question.......I am from Block A.....I was awaken by the prayer almost everyday around 5.45am (without fail)......it is loud and clear to the ears and a true mental tortue for me....
I have not raised this as it is a bit sensitive due to the religion element. I wonder if there is anything possible to be done??? God bless. |

Only one solution is to....remove the speaker.
As I think surau doesnt need any speaker at all cos its only a place for prayer.
Well, I'm sure every places in M'sia, (office building and other shopping mall and etc) has a Surau. If its really need speaker....why all these places as mentioned doesnt installed and why its only apply to resident area.
Anyway, mayb muslim user can give us some guides. _________________ Katml |

Good morning.
True..it is the speaker...and I am just hoping they can "tune down" the volume and not refering to the presence itself.
For any appeal, quorum from the whole residents may be required. May I know what is the Resident Committee's view on this issue? Much appreciated. Or it is just too sensitive even to explore the posibility of removing the speaker? |

believe me, shirley... that's one issue you really do not want to immerse yourself in.
correct me if i'm wrong, surita, the azan (call to prayer) is the only thing that should be aired but these days, we hear even the ceramah being aired.
anyway, if i recall correctly, this was an issue raised in Subang Jaya and no, even with the influential residents there, this issue was never settled (read: there is no way you're going to be able to stop this!) the no. 1 gag order... jangan ungkitkan hal-hal sensitif yang berdasarkan isu agama. period. |

I know a very good example.
There was once a surau build at Pucong Perdana. The surau was surrounded by a primary school, low cost apartment (mainly dominated by Malays) and DSL (mainly chinese) on the other two sides.
The speaker was so loud that when you can't even hear your own TV.
Certainly, many ppl complained, including Malays.
The end results was, the speaker facing the low cost apartment was removed, leaving other 3.
Feel free to pay a visit to Puchong Perdana. |

Dear All,
This is a very sensitive issue & furthermore it is outside of our compound. However, concern is noted.
Further to this, I've spoken to one of the committee member of Sri Rakyat & he will look into this matter. (That's all I can do at this point of time as this is very sensitive issue.)
Harap bersabar & berilah sedikit masa for them (ahli jawatan kuasa surau for sri rakyat) to look into this matter.
Thanks |

| I'd like to add something too. I find it very impossible to live where so many incense being light up. I know this is sensitive issue, but this is quite bothering sometimes. |
