Hi!!

Have you all read the new memo on the notice board with regards to the new car stickers??

The management has come up with new stickers that will be effective from 1st August. All apt owners have to submitt their application & hand-in their current car sticker in order to receive the new sticker. And we have to pay RM5.00 for it!!!

We had already paid RM10.00 for the car sticker when we first collected our apt key. If the management feels the need to upgrade the stickers, then they should bear the cost of it.!

If you have lost the car sticker, you will need to submitt a police report to support your loss!!! Shocked Shocked

This is getting a little silly!!!

wah....what dsee is correct wat...less than a year n now said wan to change n upgraded a new car sticker...

although i just shifted in few weeks ago, i noticed that alot of cars that park in JDA here mostly no car sticker on it o even though not written which parking lot number also.....n some even park at ppl parking lots too..........

if were to change new car sticker n wan all the residents in JDA to pay for the fee is not justified although is minimum charge of RM 5.00 n all the residents car sticker r oredi paid the fee of RM 10.00 during we collected the apt key.

True!

We've paid for the sticker once, hence, this is suppose to be a replacement for us.

We should fight this back. Mgmt or Developer should bare the cost.

We paid maintenance fees, and is THEIR RESPONSIBLE to improve OUR LIVING !!!

Please note!!!

I've called Mr Elamaran, Building Mgmt - person in charged of the car sticker. (fyi: Tel: 03 9018 6391).

He is gonna pull back the implementation of charging $5.00 for the new sticker to residents.

Furthermore, after hearing my explanation he is gonna reconsider and discuss further to developer to bare the costs. (Well, hope it works !!).

In summary, explanation as follows;

Q: Present used sticker is poor
(ie. without serial number to control and identify owner's parking lot)
Hence, some owner simply park ppl lot and build problem.
But Richman Mgmt is trying their best to improve or minimise our complaints, that's why they implemented new sticker for us.

Solution: The matter above is because of developer created poor sticker for us in the first place.(due to decision made by earlier mgmt ie. JD Facilities via developer).
So, I suggested him to charged the cost to them as a replacement of the old sticker and improvement of the living.

Thanks katml, keep us posted on the outcome.
What is the feasability of having access cards for entering the apartments? You know, with barriers at the entrance, then just touch n go.. For those without, the security guards will note down the car number and unit they are visitng.
Security in a way, will improve.
I suppose the costs involve in installing this system had put off the management.
Otherwise any Tom, Dick or Harry can come in. As a matter of fact, two weeks ago when I was cleaning my place, I asked one of my friends to come help me. He told me that he told the guards that he's visiting a friend, they didn't ask him to write down his particulars at all.. They even gave him directions to come to my block! Confused

Is good to have access cards to in/out our apt.

Instead of present practise, guard standing there and just push/pull the gate. Ah Pig or Ah Dog also can easily just welcome.

Well, its hard to blame guards....., they are also human, may over look sometime.....or .....tooo tired with their job....(should understand how boring it is huhhh....)

Once access cards implemented, guards will only need attention to those in-comers passing by and to visitors (cos, only residents are allowed to held the card).

Hence, the focus scope is smaller and is good for security and also, good to us (residents), anything happen to our home (eg. kena rompak ker), we can bark them easily without hearing any excuses....

Besides, Guards will have more time to routine, (jalan-jalan and checking checking each blocks).

Totally agree with you katml. So maybe we can kickstart a campaign to change to access cards?
I suppose it's a matter of costs involved.. if too high, management will put it down to the residents, then I'm sure most won't agree to pay..

BUT PLS BE READY !!!!...

If the access cards implemented, I'm sure they'll request $$$ for it.

Just bear in mind, NOTHING IS FREEEeeee.....!!!!!! and this security access is not in SPA.

In fact, Mgmt is doing their best to improve the living.
Of coz, we'll only agreed with the fair rate la.

Anyhow, I still think this kind of $$$ is worth to pay...

just had a word with surita (ssh). the committee wishes to inform all residents (please pass the word around):

DO NOT PAY THE RM5 FOR THE CAR STICKER

there is no reason why our existing stickers are not valid nor are there any cogent reasons why these stickers need changing. if the guards do deny you entry eventhough you have the present sticker, make a police report. these stickers should be given FREE in exchange for the old ones. it is only reasonable to expect payment for replacement issues. residents should not be made to pay for the lack of foresight on the part of the developer/management.

BARRIERS

What do the residents think? automated? manual? the committee has approached the management to get a qoutation and we will inform the residents in due course. please bear in mind that not only are we to consider the installation cost, we need to also factor in the maintenance cost. and at the rate out lifts are functioning, we will probably be better off with manual barriers.

A word of advise to residents:

WE HAVE ALL BEEN ALLOTED OUR RESPECTIVE CAR PARK LOTS. PLEASE PARK AT YOUR RESPECTIVE BAY.

Hi Darric,
Do keep us posted then. Like I mentioned before, it comes down to the costs involved.
Otherwise we'll have to live with it till other existing issues are settled.
Thanks again.

by the way, just in case you guys are wondering what has become of our letter to the management, while they have agreed to implement some proposals (read: perhaps one or two) in a nutshell, they have put the shifted the blame on us. we are pursuing other alternatives to resolve the disputes and as we believe this forum is being monitored, we will inform the residents of our next course of action in due course.
