In view of the recent concerns on security - would like to suggest a separate topic / section dedicated on the issue of security in the forum for more focus. This thread could look at
1. statistics, type of crimes - house break in, car theft, snatch thief etc - at which block / floors - how ? If stats are monitored then we can know if actions have been effective or crime rate is going down in future.
2. suggestions on how to prevent crime at JDA, recommendation of security systems etc
3. reports of anything suspicious going on (apart from to the security) this will help to create awareness amongst ourselves as residents (I thot the post from Jolin was good to wake us up those of us who are not so observant some of these going ons that could actually be the thieves activities of monitoring etc)
4. suggestions of actions to take up with management & BJD related to security
5. suggestion of actions with external parties - such as police, MCPF etc
6.useful links from other apartment/ residential communities on crime prevention (we can learn from those who have made their neighbourhood safer).

Basically to raise the level of awareness of security in our community. Until there is going to be effective solutions in place (either from the mgmt on security, access card, etc) we owe it to ourselves to be aware and make it more difficult, if not impossible to be the next victim).
