Dear Committee,

Since the Mgmt is claiming that majority of the resident is not paying the maintenance fee & sinking fund. Appreciate if the committee member to check on the management accounts month to see how true is their claim??

Hi Dan,

In the last week AGM, the outgoing committee already informed the management is not able to provide the 2005 accounts. its dodgy when they hv no accounts to show.

Another way to check is with the Registrar of companies, as they have to file their annual audited accounts by 30 June (assuming their year end is 31 Dec).

Hi SF,

not all companies auditted account are updated in ROC. I have encountered companies which only have 1998 auditted account updated.

Anyway, I think the residents have every right to force the management to show the accounts because it is our money, am I right to say so??

Bukit Jalil Development Sdn Bhd is just the developer's account right??

How do they separate Jalil Damai Account from BJD??

Hi dan,

If the maintenance fee is paid to BJD then we have to look at BJD a/c. The audited a/cs have only see lump sum figure (better than nothing though), breakdown will still hv to go back to BJD.

One of the objectives is to find out if there are long outstanding maintenance fee not paid by tenants right? So BJD shld be happy we are doing this unless the real story is otherwise :p

Any news from the new committee? I know its only been a week but kinda anxious for any kind of updates.

I m sure the minutes are taken down....i hope Razz

I cant wait for the next meeting which is supposed to discuss all the issues we are currently facing now, security being the highest concern. Furthermore we cant afford to slack on other matters such as strata title, management etc etc.

Reading the HBA articles, I gather that only RA will be able to keep things moving most of the time...even HBA advice to hv a RA as early as possible...most developer/management companies simply dont care much after they handed the property.

Actually, the committee can use this forum to update/discuss/gather thoughts and have a meeting when certain decisions need to be made. The last update posted here was back in Jan 06 (6 months ago....) Razz
