hi spicer,

fyi, i have bought the living room rail from outside & they suppose to help me get them fix. somehow, ST people gave them trouble when they trying to enter our appartment and threaten them away.

mine ended up with ST where i paid RM50 for the whole appartment drilling.

for this kind of 1 day minor work, u can get a temporary pass from management without paying any fees. this is to make sure your outside worker is "legal" and nobody can stop them from entering your apt.

or DIY if u can Very Happy

Exactly, remember u are the "OWNER" of the apt.! Whereas the ST thugs

are only there to harass until they get some business..., don't bother or

just ignore them.....

tried diy (do-it-yourself)? can get the rails (rollers, wall plugs & screws) from any hardware shop... minimal drilling. besides the drill (preferably an impact drill), need only a screwdriver Very Happy

Very Happy hi, i hope i m not late in giving u a solution. If u hav a contractor doing your neighbour's hse, just ask them 2 do it 4 u at a cost. don't bother to apply for pass ...etc 4 this.

I engaged on of my friends to do the railing work together with lighting/fan installation about a month ago. Blardy f..ker ST personnel stopped my friends CRV at the gate demanding them to pay deposit of RM300. I went to mgt office and I made some noise, and one of the assistant told me at least 100x that it is the procedure and they cant do anything abt it. At that brain boiling time, I gave them a scenario where I need to change of my lighting and I will be installing it myself - do I need to pay deposit? You know what they said? YES! Who are these STUPIG people managing our apartment?

Anyway, to original poster of this thread - if you want my friend's help to install the railing, I can give you his number.

I paid two guys from Ikea (who installed my kitchen cabinet too) to install curtain railings for me. Lucky me, they were not stopped by any ppl from ST or guards when they came to install curtain railings and my kitchen cabinets. They're ok and charges are also reasonable. let me know if you need their numbers. Very Happy
