|
|
Want to check with everyone about our developer's claim that the property is "freehold". A friend of mine was planning to buy a unit here and asked his lawyer to check the details of the property. To his surprise, he was told that the property is located in "leasehold land" and the when he called the developer...no one seems to want to take the call.
How to check if our property land is freehold as advertised in the catalogue 3 years ago? I do keep the catalogue though. One of the reason I bought the unit is because it is freehold. Now Im in delimme. The developer conned us, I suppose |

| vijaya, u sure? has your friend's lawyers done a search at the land office? the last time i checked (when i signed the sale and purchase agreement 3 years ago!), the property was on freehold land. care to get more details from this friend of yours? i'm sure we'll all be equally concerned if indeed it has become leasehold... and we'll definitely send in our protest to the land office. |

vijaya, how sure is your info from your friend?? I juz check through the s&p argreement, but i notice that the s&p never mention any statement about the land whether is freehold o leasehold.
can u guys check the s&p and let me know which pages mention about the land hold. how dare the developer put an advertisement n lie to the public on such big issue. if is true then i think will go to the minister of housing dept to complaint about this |

| I am not sure but when my friend's lawyer asked for the copy of the master title, BJ gave the copy but some of the pages was missing. The lawyer sent a letter to obtain the full copy and still has not got it yet...going to be 1 month....did not know it is that difficult to photocopy the missing pages by BJ...I think it will take some time before I can confim this...anyway thanks for the feedback.... |

also guarantee freehold cos my lawyer did a search in land office before signing of s&p which was required by the bank i think.
bank also must protect their "interest" (get it? % we paying ) _________________ 3C |
