HO HUP CONSTRUCTION COMPANY BERHAD (Ho Hup or the Company)
- WINDING-UP PETITION SERVED ON BUKIT JALIL DEVELOPMENT SDN. BHD., A MAJOR
SUBSIDIARY OF THE COMPANY, BY MUDA MEWAH SDN. BHD.
The Board of Directors of Ho Hup wishes to announce that a winding-up petition
has been served on Bukit Jalil Development Sdn. Bhd. (BJD), a major subsidiary
of the Company, by Muda Mewah Sdn. Bhd. (MMSB or "Petitioner") and the details
of the said winding-up petition are as follows :-
(1) Date of presentation of the winding-up petition and the date of winding-up
petition served on BJD
- The winding-up petition dated 11 March 2009 was served on BJD on 27 March
2009 and the winding-up petition was presented to the High Court at Kuala
Lumpur on 11 March 2009. The winding-up petition shall be heard at the High
Court at Kuala Lumpur on 25 June 2009.
(2) The amount claimed for and the interest rate
- The total amounts claimed by the Petitioner against BJD are as follows:-
(a) Judgement sum of RM80,824.99 together with interest of RM12,878.85 from 15
February 2007 to 10 February 2009; and
(b) Cost of RM291.00.
(3) The total cost of investment in BJD
- The cost of investment by Ho Hup in BJD is RM10.5 million.
(4) Default or circumstances leading to the filing of the winding-up petition
against BJD
- The winding-up petition was filed arising from liquidated ascertained damages
in connection with the delayed completion and handover of one unit of the
two-storey shop house to MMSB as Purchaser.
(5) Financial and operational impact on the Group
- The Company is taking steps to settle the matter before the hearing of the
winding-up petition on 25 June 2009. The Directors of the Company do not
envisage the impact of settlement on the Group, financially or operationally,
to be significant.
(6) The expected losses, if any, arising from the winding-up petition
- The Group is not expected to incur any further losses as the amounts claimed
has been provided for in the accounts. _________________ Sigh... it's so tired to be a house buyer in m'sia.... |

wah... kalo setiap rumah kedai jalil ritz (wah... nama bukan main glamor!)lad rm80k, 12 biji dah hampir rm1m!!! berapa biji ada kat sana??? 60??? hangus rm5m begitu saja.
apatah lagi projek jalil sutera...
duit jatuh dari langit ke???

Bukit Jalil Development Sdn Bhd served with Winding Up Petition by our former Management Company Indera Management Services. What a shame.
The Board of Directors of Ho Hup wishes to announce that a winding-up petition has been served on Bukit Jalil Development Sdn. Bhd. (“BJD”), a major subsidiary of the Company, by Indera Management Services (KL) Sdn. Bhd. (“IMS” or "Petitioner") and the details of the said winding-up petition are as follows:-
(1) Date of presentation of the winding-up petition and the date of winding-up petition served on BJD
The winding-up petition dated 31 March 2009 was served on BJD on 21 May 2009 and the winding-up petition was presented to the High Court at Kuala Lumpur on 31 March 2009. The winding-up petition shall be heard at the High Court at Kuala Lumpur on 2 July 2009.
(2) The amount claimed for and the interest rate
The total amounts claimed by the Petitioner against BJD are RM190,665.50 as at 30 June 2008 and cost of petition to be determined by the Court.
(3) The total cost of investment in BJD
The Company‘s cost of investment in BJD is RM10.5 million.
(4) Default or circumstances leading to the filing of the winding-up petition against BJD
The winding-up petition was filed arising from alleged of non-payment of property management fee due and owing by BJD to IMS.
(5) Financial and operational impact on the Group
The winding-up petition was filed pursuant to Section 218 notice issued on 3 September 2008. IMS has not obtained any judgement order prior to the issuance of the notice.
The Company is seeking legal advice on the strength of the winding-up petition. The Directors of the Company do not envisage the impact of winding-up petition on the Group, financially or operationally, to be significant.
(6) The expected losses, if any, arising from the winding-up petition
The Group is not expected to incur any further losses as the amounts claimed has been provided for in the accounts.

The winding-up petition dated 5 May 2009 was served on BJD on 25 May 2009 and
the winding-up petition was presented to the High Court at Kuala Lumpur on 5
May 2009. The winding-up petition shall be heard at the High Court at Kuala
Lumpur on 30 July 2009.
(2) The amount claimed for and the interest rate
The total amounts claimed by the Petitioners against BJD are as follows:-
(a) Principal sum of RM51,109.92 together with interest of RM7,639.88 from 9
May 2007 to 20 March 2009; and
(b) Cost of RM1,329.00.
(3) The total cost of investment in BJD
The Companys cost of investment in BJD is RM10.5 million.
(4) Default or circumstances leading to the filing of the winding-up petition
against BJD
The winding-up petition was filed arising from liquidated ascertained damages
in connection with the delayed completion and handover of the two-storey shop
house to the Petitioners as Purchaser.
(5) Financial and operational impact on the Group

Winding-up petition served on Ho Hup unit
PETALING JAYA: A winding-up petition has been served on Bukit Jalil Development Sdn Bhd (BJD), a major subsidiary of Ho Hup Construction Company Bhd (Ho Hup).
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Ho Hup said the winding-up petition was served by Yew Kok Foo, Siew Kim Moey and Yew Seik Wai, who are claiming RM94,153 from BJD.
Ho Hup’s cost of investment in BJD was RM10.5mil. “The winding-up petition was filed arising from liquidated ascertained damages in connection with the delayed completion and handover of one unit of (a) two-storey shophouse to the petitioners as purchaser,” the company said.
The winding-up petition will be heard at the High Court of Malaya at Kuala Lumpur on August 13, 2009.
