Hi cmlim,
I'm from Block B as well. My 8 TV reception was pretty good after I revert to indoor antenna. I did complaint to Suffian on bad TV reception for almost all channel but his response was rather dissapointed - nobody complaint. After tuning here and there, I gave up.
So Block B resident pls complaint to Suffian if u encounter such problem. He will not entertain if only me of cmlim barking at him.....

Hi, I am from Blk C and I cant receive TV8 at all. The rest (TV1,2,3 & NTV7) was pretty clear. Luckilly my alternative is ASTRO Smile

My friend told me that the direction of antenna for other channels and TV8 is pointing to different direction, so, if the rest of the channels are clear, then likely TV8 will not be able to received. and vice versa.

I think for cm, you have to install in-door antenna if you need TV8.

btw, for any TV or Astro receiption problem, (for Blk A,B & C, which using central Satalite). You can call Mr. Yap at 0123915508. He is the contractor in charged for this Satalite and I was told the TV cable is tied together with Astro Satelite cables too.

Hi CCH,
I'm from Blk C also but haven't move in yet. Just to enquire, if using Astro thru the centralised antenna, is there any installation charges or do we just plug it in and it should start receiving?
Thanks.

Hi Dsee

I you have an existing astro in your current place, all you have to do is plug in the cable in your new apartment and it should work. However you may need to make a short cable to connect the astro to the wall point. You can make this cable at any Astro retailer.

There is NO INSTALLATION CHARGE.

Regards

Philip

For those who have bad TV reception, did you try to adjust your channel reception frequency. This is usually found on the TV setting menu.

I am from block C as well. I was using an internal antenna initially and 8TV was just OK, but NTV7 really blur. I also couldn't tune my VCR. Now I am using the tv plate connection. All channels are fine except 8TV - really, really blur. TV2 and TV3 - clear but still got white dots.

At one time, there was someone who came to my unit and ask about my TV reception, but at the time I hadn't moved in yet.

for the moment, it's either you tune in to 8TV or NTV7... not both. as someone pointed out, your antenna would have to be facing opposing directions for both these stations.

wonder what sort of antenna they've installed for us. another question, do these antennas have lightning isolators? otherwise people, if you're using the common point, disconnect whenever you're not around or whenever there's a storm brewing. better safe than sorry. after all, we're living in a high rise building (remember what excuse management keeps giving for lift breakdowns? lightning strike!).

Hi all,

My astro is down for 3 weeks, Then I call the technician (Mr. Yap for block C, to check who incharge of your block, read the notice board at the ground floor).

The technicial told me that the splitter of the anttena of my house got problem. He also mention that actually the tv socket and astro socket share the same wire and attena. So if you tv reception is very bad, maybe the splitter of ur unit got problem.

And one more thing, he also mention if tenant install the astro plate themselve (which is prohibit), they will cut of your centrelise anttena.

After they change the splitter, all my tv channel and astro are clear! The technicial said their company have to maintain all the wiring in block C for 1.5 year without any charge.

cheers,
comcrazy
